Following the critical acclaim of Tanya Morgan’s first two LPs Moonlighting and Brooklynati, Donwill, the native son of Cincinnati has stepped to the plate with his solo debut, Don Cusack in High Fidelity, collection of songs about new love, old love and lost love. Why? He explains: “I think that everybody who has been in a serious relationship begins to revisit their past loves either actively or passively. They either track people down or look at old photos and wonder ‘what if?”
Borrowing its theme (and even some lines) from the cult-classic 2000 film High Fidelity, the storyline of Donwill’s relationship wins and losses parallels the film quite accurately. Supporting characters have been cast to perfection with Von Pea and Che Grand filling the roles of Dick and Barry, the musical moron twins. Hieroglyphics’ Opio steps in for Tim Robbins’ portrayal of the villain (Ian Raymond), and Nicky Guiland (formerly of HEAVY) portrays the hypnotizing siren Marie De Salle. Available in stores now!!!!
