Chicago songstress NJOMZA took a two year hiatus from music and came back this year stronger than ever. After being featured on Mac Miller’s album The Divine Feminine, NJOMZA released her own project Sad For You, the first release of Mac Miller’s Remembrance Label.
This month, we had the pleasure of bringing her to Baby’s All Right, with Adrian Daniel as an opener. Despite her title track being called “Sad For You”, the evening was anything but. After being warmed up by the vibey R&B that Adrian Daniel is known for, the crowd was ready for NJOMZA.
NJOMZA hit the the stage and it was impossible not to see the glow even before she started singing. She performed a mix of older as well as new music from her newest project including the songs “Ridin Solo”, “poison”, and of course, “Sad for You”. Her voice and her energy made the night even better, giving pop music a breathe of fresh air. NJOMZA is definitely an artist that you should keep tabs on 👌🏽
