You could probably imagine what going to a Smokepurpp show would be like, but that would not come close to the actual experience of going to one. After his hit song “AUDI” came out, the name ‘Smokepurpp” was consistently thrown around when talking about the new wave of “SoundCloud” rappers that have teenagers and young adults going crazy.
With heavy online followings, it is always interesting to see how the fans pan out in real life. At the release party of his newest project “Deadstar”, Smokepurpp proved he is way more than just a “SoundCloud” rapper. After being warmed up by DJ ODALYS , Trapvilla, and a handful of up and coming rappers that included Lil Wop, the predictably young crowd was ready for Purpp, screaming the tag line “ESKEDITT” once every 5 minutes.
Once Smokepurpp hit the stage, his aura was what you noticed first. You can have whatever opinion you want regarding his music, but in terms of stage presence, this guy is a star. Immediately, he had the rowdy and energetic crowd in the palm of his hands. After performing hits like “Ski Mask”, “Bless Yo Trap”, and “AUDI”, he announced that there was a special guest in the building. As soon as “Everyday We Lit” came on, the crowd went wild as PNB Rock came to the stage. Afterwards, Ski Mask The Slump God hit the stage and performed “Catch Me Outside”, which you know is about to be a hit if it isn’t already. Smokepurpp also surprised the crowd with some new music – a surprise collab with none other than Travis Scott called “Blue”.
