Top Move Forward Music Moments of 2017!

December 28, 2017 10:56 am

We promised to bring you even more live music in 2017! Check out some of our favorite parties and concerts that we were a part of this year. We’ve continued to produce a ton of artists’ debut performances in the Big Apple (6lack, Kodie Shane, Anik Khan to name a few) and celebrated one year of some pretty epic parties that will be back in 2018.

Look out for more “Drake Nights”, more “Back to Life” parties, and many more concerts,

Happy New Year!

10. Robb Banks/Ski Mask – No show predicted the explosion of Soundcloud rap in 2017 like when Ski Mask the Slump God appeared as a guest of Robb Banks’ NY tour stop.

9. 6lack No Ceilings at Rough Trade – the Atlanta singer debuted in Nyc in January at what may still be the most hyped show of 2017.

8. Kodie Shane NY debut – the first lady of Lil Yachty’s Sailing Team demonstrated chops of her own at her own sell out debut.

7. Brockhampton debuts in NY with 2 sold out shows  – the Texas collective invited fans into their world with back to back shows at Highline Ballroom which included a couch on stage and throngs of fervant fans.

6. Heineken Green Room w/ Cam’Ron – Cam’Ron’s rare intimate acapella performance at Knitting Factory proved the OG still has bars that can make you laugh, and think.

5. Anik Khan debut/ Saint JHN came thru – The Queens rapper repped “brown excellence” at his sold out Rough Trade debut, bringing Punjab culture into hip-hop and vice versa.

4. 3 sold out nights with Isaiah Rashad – the TDE rapper finally made his proper concert debut in NYC and ended up needing three nights to complete the run.

3. Playboi Carti @ Knockdown – After much anticipation, Carti did his Millie Rock in New York at the height of “Magnolia”’s omnipresence.

2. Summerstage with Denzel Curry – the ULT rapper played touch football with fans before and after bringing a tornado of energy on stage.

1. Jazz Cartier hangs from the Ceiling at No Ceilings – Improvising like his first name would suggest, Jazz walked on the hands of the crowd and climbed onto an exhaust pipe along the ceiling by his knees and bit all his bars upside down.
