On Friday November 30th, we’re taking it to NJ, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Jamaican independence with this electrifying concert event that brings together three of reggae’s hottest acts: Third World, Maxi Priest, and Ky-Mani Marley. Third World is a reggae band that have been around since 1973. There have been lineup changes to the group, but Stephen “Cat” Coore and Richard Daley have been with Third World since the beginning as well as singer William “Bunny Rugs” Clarke who has been with them since 1976. Maxi Priest, since 1982, is a british reggae artist of Jamaican decent, who is known as one of the most successful reggae fusion acts of all time. Ky-Mani Marley, the only child of table tennis champion Anita Belnavis and reggae legend Bob Marley, has been releasing projects since his 1996 debut, “Like Father Like Son”. Come celebrate the 50th anniversary of Jamaican Independence by watching these artists with dense Jamaican culture!
