People always say that the new generation of rappers keep getting younger and younger, but 15 year old Bronx rapper proves that his age does not compromise his talent. His show last week at Highline Ballroom was proof that he is a rapper you need to get familiar with.
Smooky is known for being A$AP Rocky’s protégé and has made appearances on Cozy Tapes and becoming a member of the AWGE collective. He was even featured on XXL’s The Break in September.
The show began with Jelly Gang and Lil Mosey performing high energy sets. Lil Mosey’s “Boof Pack” had the venue going crazy. Smokepurpp and Blocboy JB made appearances at the show, with Blocboy even dancing/performing to his Drake-assisted banger “Look Alive.”
Once Smooky got on, he immediately commanded all of the rooms attention and exuded confidence way beyond his years. He is a natural at performing. He did tracks like the popular “Vlone Flex”, “Stay 100”, and “Not Right” as well as some of his Cozy Tapes features. Based on this show, we are excited to see where his career will go.
