Amir Obé, Eli Sostre, Brent Faiyaz and Jimi Tents shut down Highline Ballroom

September 6, 2016 5:40 am

New York City came out in full force to show love last Wednesday at Highline Ballroom. Being that it was Amir Obé‘s birthday in addition to the final stop on his nationwide tour, the energy was on ten from the moment you set foot inside the venue. Brent Faiyaz started things off, lulling everyone in with his soothing falsetto performing his viral hit “Allure”.

The crowd swayed in unison to his warming vocals which led up to a fiery performance by Brooklyn’s own Eli Sostre.

Jimi Tents hit the stage and had the crowd rockin with his intense energy, but the real party started when Austin Millz hopped on the decks to amp the room.

After a surge of club bangers were let off, Amir took stage and brought the house down; his records “VIP” and “Fill the Void” really brought out the hype. Overall the show was nothing but good vibes, serving as a marker of growth and success for all of the artists on tour, especially that in particular of Amir Obe following his two sold out nights at Baby’s All Right earlier this year.

If you missed out on the show, check out the recap on AO! Be on the look out as well for new music from Brent, as his project A.M. Paradox is set to release later on this month. Thank you to everyone who came out to support! All photos are by Christina Ventura.
