Right now it seems like New York City is having a moment in Hip-Hop. With Atlanta, Toronto, and Soundcloud rappers being at the forefront of rap for a while, this summer was a huge time for NYC rappers to have a come up and Hell’s Kitchen native Marlon Craft is no exception.

On August 11th, Marlon Craft came to Baby’s All Right for a SOLD OUT hometown show. Brooklyn’s own RADAMIZ and DJ YAMEZ opened up the show with a high energy performance where they showed off their chops and got the crowd going.

When Marlon came on, the crowd chanted his name and rapped along to his lyrically deep verses. During his performance, Craft spoke about his sound and how although he wasn’t knocking the Soundcloud rappers of today, his sound paid homage to the craft of rapping.

He performed tracks from his newest project “The Tunnel’s End” like  “Marco Made Me Do It” and “Unstoppable”, among many others. His sold out show filled with devoted fans showed that success can be possible with no label backing, no management, a very small budget, and hustle.

We look forward to watching Marlon Craft climb the ranks of rappers who can truly spit bar for bar.
