RECAP: Fire Emoji Live – Nyck @ Knight

August 21, 2017 9:39 pm

Last Tuesday was lit, literally. We kicked off our new series alongside Hot New Hip-Hop, titled ‘Fire Emoji Live’ with Pro Era‘s own, Nyck @ Knight (Kirk Knight and Nyck Caution). The legendary SOBs welcomed the early and energetic crowd, and once the show got started they really didn’t want it to stop!

The young Brooklyn natives, who got their start as members of the youngest, most talented and grounded rap groups to date, Pro Era, came out to play no games. They performed a couple of tracks from their self-titled EP NYCK @ KNIGHT, including Off The Wall, and Audiopium, which features a couple of Pro Era members. They even played the song that inspired their collaboration, “Ring The Alarm”, which was off of Joey Bada$$ ‘s album “All-Amerikkkan Badass”. Aside from putting on a fantastic show, the duo brought out many of their friends who also happen to be raised by this brick city.

Issa Gold and AKTheSavior of The Underachievers, popped up to show support to their fellow BEASTCOAST family. ASAP Ferg, whose album dropped last week, also came by to close the show with a bang. Pro Era Members CJ Fly and Dirty Sanchez also blessed the stage and a proper moment of silence was held for Pro Era Member Capital Steez. Caution and Knight will be continuing their tour and possibly be popping up in a city near you!
