‘The Breaks’ House Party @ Webster Hall

House Party teams up with VH1 and COMPLEX to bring the biggest night of hip-hop to New York City, celebrating the release of the network’s original movie, The Breaks on Thursday, December 10th, 2015.

VH1 and COMPLEX have partnered with New York City’s iconic music destination, Webster Hall, to fuse the film’s storyline with the venue’s famed weekly Thursday House Party. One of the stars from “The Breaks,” actor and singer-songwriter, Mack Wilds will perform live, while exclusive visuals from the film and trailer will play for the excited House Party crowd. The night will recognize the golden era with 90’s Hip-Hop themed drinks and swag, bringing the House Party crowd back to a decade that strongly celebrated innovation in music.

Webster Hall’s renowned Thursday night House Party first launched in April of 2014 as a weekly bacchanal that celebrated the spirit of 90’s hip-hop culture. The event series features performances by the hottest artists on the scene. House Party takes over all four floors of the historic building and features a star-studded line-up of resident DJs, including super-producer Just Blaze, NY radio legend Funk Flex, “Downtown’s Sweetheart”, Vashtie, and world-traveled dancehall duo Electric Punanny (Jasmine Solano + MeLo-X). The party is known for unexpected performances by hip-hop heavyweights such as Rick Ross, Pusha T, and Master P, as well as newer stars such as Danny Brown, Rae Sremmurd, Jidenna, Ty Dolla $ign, Joey Bada$$, Bobby Shmurda and many more.

Inspired by journalist Dan Charnas’ book The Big Payback, a narrative history of the hip-hop business, VH1’s newest original movie, The Breaks, will make its television debut on Monday, January 4th, 2016. Tickets are on-sale now for the December 10th House Party takeover!
