Yung Pinch Brings the Beach Boy Vibes to SOB’s
March 24, 2018 10:41 amYou would have never known there was a mini blizzard this week by the way Yung Pinch’s fans wrapped around the block, wearing nothing but hoodies as they waited to enter SOB’s.Β Although he made a surprise appearance at our SOBxRBE, G Perico, and OMB Peezy showcase last year, this SOLD OUT show at SOB’s was his debut solo show in New York City.
The night started off with performances by Broward County rapper Johnny Oz and Los Angeles-based artist RILEY.
Yung Pinch, who is currently independent, also drew music industry executives and media to the show as well, all looking to scout the burgeoning West Coast artist. It was a big night for the beach boy.
As soon as he got on stage, the mostly young crowd went crazy. Pinch performed songs off of his project 714Ever, including the infectious bop “When I Was Young”. He also performed new music like “Lion” and the YG featured track “Big Checks”. It was a fun night and brought some Huntington Beach warmth to a cold New York City week.
