Stephen Marley @ Irving Plaza
Tickets Available at LiveNation
Bob Marley’s second son, Stephen Marley, first appeared on record in 1979, when he was only six years old, featured on his brother Ziggy’s “”Children Playing in the Streets”. He spent decades working behind-the-scenes in the studio producing albums for his brothers Ziggy, Julian and Damien, and crafting hip-hop-reggae collaborations with the likes of the Fugees, Erykah Badu, and Eve.
He produced the Bob Marley remix compilation Chant Down Babylon in 1999, and also help craft brother Damien Marley’s Halfway Tree, which won the Grammy for Best Reggae Album, and the critically-heralded Welcome to Jamrock.
In 2007, after nearly 3 decades in the music industry, he released his solo debut, Mind Control, which went on to earn him his own Grammy for Best Reggae Album. In 2011, he released Revelation, Pt. 1: The Root of Life. On September 18th, 2012, he will play a jam-packed concert at New York City’s legendary Irving Plaza.Tags: old
