HEINEKEN GREEN ROOM: Anik Khan + Jon Waltz Brought Electrifying Performances to Knitting Factory in Brooklyn!April 26, 2018 10:40 am
We always love supporting New York artists- there’s just something so special about a hometown crowd. This week’s Heineken Green Room was just that, as we presented Queens artist and friend of ours, Anik Khan at Knitting Factory in Brooklyn.
Last year, we had the honor of presenting him at his first SOLD OUT headlining show at Rough Trade so we knew this show was going to be another special one.
The night kicked off with NY favorite Tha Yellow R Kel, doing another one of his amazing DJ sets. Jon Waltz hit the stage for an amazing opening set where he performed tracks that included our favorite “Riot”.
Anik Khan then came on stage and performed songs from his Kites EP, like “Habibi” and “Cleopatra”. The energy always high as his international beats pulsed through the building. Anik even performed a cover of 50 Cent’s 21 Questions to end the night. It was an amazing show and we look forward to watching Anik continue to evolve as an artist!
