Cam’Ron and DJ Wavy had the line going down the block and around the corner at Heineken Green Room on July 11th at Knitting Factory in Williamsburg. It may have been a weeknight, but that didn’t stop anyone from coming out and turning up! (Drinks on Heineken, of course )
DJ Wavy warmed the crowd up with a mixture of hip hop bangers, our favorite SoundCloud rappers, and everything in between. People were milly-rocking the night away to Playboi Carti’s “Magnolia” and singing along to throwbacks like 50 Cent’s “Many Men” and Meek Mill’s “Dream and Nightmares (Intro)“.
By the time Killa Cam hit the stage, the energy was crazy. There is no denying that New York City has mad love for Cam’ron and this show only proved it. Cam performed both old and new tracks and everyone in the crowd knew every song word-for-word. It was truly a special night and one that makes you thankful to be a Hip-Hop fan in the wonderful city we call New York.
Whether you’re from Harlem, Bronx, Queens, Manhattan, Brooklyn, or Staten Island, there’s nothing like coming together to support our artists in the city where Hip-Hop was born.
